About Us

Maestro Broadcasting is an award-winning production company that specialises in high quality music and arts broadcasting for television, cinema, DVD and online. We work with many of the UK's leading orchestras, opera companies, arts organisations and artists, producing live-streamed concerts, bespoke films and ground-breaking animation projects.

We work with a large pool of freelancers who are all specialists in music, theatre and event broadcasting and between us we bring extensive knowledge, creativity, technical innovation and collaboration to every project. We work on both large and small scale broadcasts, matching editorial ambitions and budget to creative, affordable and practical broadcast solutions. We pride ourselves on our high production values.

Our work can be seen on major TV channels and streaming platforms including the BBC, Sky Arts, NHK, Mezzo, Medici, OperaVision, YouTube and Marquee TV, with DVD releases on the Naxos audiovisual label. We also help arts organisations to stream to their own platforms.

Our most recent award for our work in music animation is the prestigious Emi Mammoliti Award for Best Short Film at the Messina Opera Film Festival. In 2025 our animated short film Josefine, produced in partnership with Scottish Opera, can be seen at several large festivals around the world including the Stockholm Film Festival where it is a semi-finalist, and Northampton Film Festival where it has been shortlisted. This follows a successful 2024 where it won numerous awards in New York, Sicily, Glasgow and Mannheim in Children & Family, Animation and Short Film categories.

The Merry Widow from Glyndebourne was enjoyed by a large viewing audience on the BBC  on Christmas Day. A super production directed by Cal McCrystal and conducted by John Wilson with a stellar cast including Danielle de Niese and Germán Olvera was a highlight in 2024. It can currently be viewed on BBC iPlayer.
